What's new in Shop Estimator
1.3.2 - October 5, 2026
- Request a feature: a page on the website for telling us what you would like added, with a link to it inside the app.
- The website lists the three newest Windows versions.
1.3.1 - October 5, 2026
- Quick command is now in the Windows version too (typed; the microphone is in the browser and phone version).
- The microphone explains where your audio goes and asks before it is turned on, and can be turned off again.
- "How it works" steps inside Quick command and in the manual.
1.3 - October 5, 2026
- Quick command (browser and phone version): type or say what you want, such as "New estimate for Jane Doe, 2018 Ford F-150, brake pads, 1.5 hours install". It finds or adds the customer and vehicle, writes the estimate, shows the total, and can approve and print it. It always shows what it will do before saving anything. The Windows version stays at 1.2.2 for now.
1.2.2 - October 4, 2026
- New Shop Estimator logo and icon in the app, on the phone home screen and on the Windows download.
1.2.1 - October 4, 2026
- Default parts markup (Settings, 30% to start): a part added from the Auto Parts and Stuff catalog gets a retail price of your cost plus that percentage, instead of starting at cost.
1.2 - October 4, 2026
- Parts suppliers: keep a list of the suppliers you buy from, choose a default, and add parts from any of them on the Parts screen or on a ticket. Preloaded suppliers show their icon.
- Catalog pricing corrected: the Auto Parts and Stuff price is now your cost; retail is yours to set.
- Part numbers are the manufacturer's number. The store's internal ID is no longer shown.
- Phone numbers are formatted as you save, with extensions written as "ex 12".
- Email addresses are checked for misspelled providers, with a one-click fix.
- VIN check and Decode VIN: fills year, make, model and engine. VIN is the first field on a new vehicle.
- ZIP code fills in city and state.
- Backup reminder on the Dashboard when your last export is missing or two weeks old.
- Delete button on each row of the Parts screen.
- Dollar and percent signs inside the rate fields on a ticket.
- Optional shop registration in Settings.
